Lawson is an entrepreneur and investor based in San Francisco. As the founder of moneymail.ai, Lawson's dream is to increase the usability + velocity of money online with social money tools for social networks. Lawson also provides consulting services at Relayzero in Product, Growth, Operations, and Regulatory Strategy.
Lawson spent his career focusing on the evolution of finance. After law school, Lawson achieved his dream job as an investment banker and attorney originating almost $750 million of fixed income financings. Then, he spent the next 6 years as effectively the #3 non-co-founder at two B2B fintech software companies. First, he joined the founding team of SynapseFI, the first banking API company ($33M Series B 2019 led by a16z), in Growth and General Counsel roles. Most recently, Lawson was the Head of Operations and General Counsel at TokenSoft, the leading platform for porting financial assets on to blockchains. Additionally, Lawson has served on a variety of non-profit boards of directors including Chairman of Manos Unidas International (2014-2018), a non-profit benefitting special needs schools in Peru where he helped launch "Phawarispa, a Dr. Cynthia Project" in honor of his late ❤️ Peruvian 🇵🇪 wife.
